I love the idea of bring a static image to life with some subtle movement…

I’m waiting for an appropriate project to use this technique. The term Cinemagraph has been coined by Jamie Beck and Kevin Berg…There is a “how to” here… using a different image…

I enjoy using Instagram, its such a simple way of adding another dimension to your smart phone pics, however I recently found myself wondering how to apply filters without sharing them. Some times you may want multiple pictures of your kids without boring your followers, or just want some privacy in our ever so social world! …

Well it was simpler than I thought! All you have to do is put your phone in airplane mode. Follow the normal edit process…the upload will fail (so delete it) but the photo will still be saved in your photo album. awesome…

The shot below “the walk to breakfast”… Koh Mook, Thailand, using the “Rise” filter. Looking out at a snowy / raining 0 degrees london, I don’t miss it a all! Ahem

Really impressive temporary art… at UCL. I’m not entirely sure what it means but I love the way he’s creating a
new space with the  portico look beautiful… also looks great at night.

Directed by Kahlil Joseph. The film, shot in L.A is beautifully is graded/colourised…  though sometimes with dark (I suspect honest) footage of kids and adults out and about.  I for one can’t wait to get my hands on the new album. Steve Ellison has talent…

Pretty nice timeline of web technologies. Crazy how far we’ve come in so little time & scary how fast the pace of change is.

I went to see this exhibition at the weekend, which I very much enjoyed. Especially his paintings from later in life as his health & sight faded.

Also open now are The Tanks 2 new enormous old storage spaces opened up underneath Tate from it’s past as the Bankside power station. One dedicated to performance art, the other mostly video based works. Both defiantly worth a few visits over the summer.
